Krishna Raj Kapoor, wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor dies due to cardiac arrest
Krishna Raj Kapoor, the wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor passed away on Monday early morning due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai. She was 87-years-old.

Speaking to the news agency PTI, Randhir Kapoor — an eldest son of Krishna Raj Kapoor — said, “My mother passed away at about 5 am today due to cardiac arrest… old age was another factor. We are deeply saddened by her demise.” Randhir further added that the last rites will be performed at Chembur crematorium.
Meanwhile Riddhima Kapoor — Rishi Kapoor’s daughter — took to Instagram with two posts featuring her grandmother and wrote, “I love you… I will always love you – RIP dadi.”
As soon as the tragic news broke, Bollywood stars including Kajol, Sanjay Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rima Jain arrived at the Kapoor residence to pay their last respects to Krishna Raj Kapoor. Also, Karisma Kapoor arrived at the Kapoor residence to pay last respects to her late grandmother.
Bollywood stars too came together to say an emotional goodbye to “Krishna aunty”. Soha Ali Khan took to a twitter remembering Krishna Raj Kapoor as an “incredible personality full of life and passion and with never a hair out place” while Farah Khan called her “the most beautiful lady of our industry”.

Raj Kapoor married Krishna Malhotra in 1946 and they had five children together — actors Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor and daughters Rima Jain and Ritu Nana. Actors Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor were her grandchildren.
