KL Rahul was scheduled to captain Kings XI Punjab in the 2020 IPL(Indian Premier League) which was scheduled to take place from March 29, 2020, but due to coronavirus outbreak, it was postponed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
Recently, the right-hander was hosted for a chat in a live session on Instagram by TV presenter and commentator Suhail Chandok and spoke in detail about his friendship with Virat Kohli, he also revealed one batsman that he would pick to bat for his life.
Talking to the television presenter and commentator Suhail Chandhok in the fifth episode of ‘The Mind Behind,’ Rahul was asked which batsman he would select if he had to pick someone to bat for his life. To this, the 27-year-old selected Virat Kohli. “I’ll go with Virat (Kohli) because I know, everybody knows he is a great player, we share a great friendship and he will give it all to save my life” he stated.
Rahul and Kohli share a great bond between them on and off the field and have also played together for RCB in the Indian Premier League.
In his latest tour against New Zealand, KL Rahul scored a century and one half-century in the ODI series. Notably, he is only the third batsman from the nation to have scored a century in all the three forms of the game after Indian opener Rohit Sharma and out-of-favor batsman Suresh Raina.
