Kiwi duo clobber record 43 runs in a single over
A record 43 runs were scored in an over in a domestic one-day fixture in New Zealand, on Wednesday.
The two batsmen Joe Carter and Brett Thompson clobbered the most number of runs in an over while batting for the Northern Districts against Central District in a ford Trophy match. The duo hit six sixes and their cause was further aided by two no-balls.

The bowler, at the receiving end was South Africa born medium pacer Willem Ludik. The two batsmen hit 4, 6 (nb), 6 (nb), 6, 1, 6, 6 and 6 to have their names etched in history.

The earlier record for the most runs scored in an over belonged to Zimbabwean batsman Elton Chigumbura, who had smashed 39 in an over while playing for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi against Abahani limited ok the Dhaka Premier League.
