North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un’s Train Likely Spotted In Resort Town Amid Health Reports
A special train possibly belonging to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was spotted this week at a resort town in the country
Kim Jong Un’s health and whereabouts have grabbed the headlines since days now. As per news agency, Reuters, a special train possibly belonging to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was spotted this week at a resort town in the country. Satellite images were reviewed by a Washington-based North Korea monitoring project.
The monitoring project, 38 North, said in its report on Saturday that the train was parked at the “leadership station” in Wonsan on April 21 and April 23. The station is reserved for the use of the Kim family, the report stated.
Though the train was probably of Kim Jong Un, the news agency has not yet confirmed whether he was in Wonsan or not.
The report said, “The train’s presence does not prove the whereabouts of the North Korean leader or indicate anything about his health but it does lend weight to reports that Kim is staying at an elite area on the country’s eastern coast.”
Kim’s health news surfaced when he was absent from the anniversary of the birthday of North Korea’s founding father and Kim’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, on April 15.
Daily NK, an online newspaper based in South Korea reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly received a cardiovascular system procedure on April 12 at a hospital in North Korea’s Hyangsan county. As reported by a source to CNN, Kim Jong was in grave danger.
Later, South Korea’s government rubbished the report. Kang Min-seok, a spokesman for South Korean President Moon Jae-in, said in a statement, “We have nothing to confirm regarding recent media reports about the health problems of Chairman Kim Jong Un of North Korea, and no atypical movement inside North Korea has been detected.”
