The entire nation has been under extended lockdown for more than two months during the COVID-19 outspread. While few filmmakers decided to release their films on OTT platforms, few filmmakers were still juggling to push the release date of their respective films. As per the latest report, the makers of much-anticipated film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ are considering releasing the film on theater.
As per a report in IWM Buzz, a source says, “Like the first KGF film, the second one is a big-screen experience. In fact, the sequel is much bigger in terms of the scale than the first film. Every component in the follow-up product is many sizes larger-than-life. Given the scale, neither the film’s hero Yash nor the director Prashanth is even considering a digital release. In fact, Yash clearly told a friend that his fans need not worry. The film will release in theatres first, no matter how long it takes. Even if it takes months, for theatres to open Yash is in no hurry. He will wait to give his fans the big-screen experience.”
As per the report in India Today, a source close to the development has informed them that they are on track for October 23 release of the film. Film shootings across the country have come to a halt because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Apparently, only a few days of shooting have been pending and the makers would be wrapping the film after shooting these chunks.
Alongside Yash, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ also stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in the key roles.
