Kerala Cricket Association punishes Sanju Samson and 12 others for dissent against captain
The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has suspended five state team cricketers, while also fining eight other including Sanju Samson for showing their dissent against skipper Sachin Baby, reported IANS on Saturday.
According to the news agency, a statement issued by Sreejith V.Nair, secretary of KCA said that on the basis of individual hearing with all the players it was clearly evident that the players were involved in endangering the harmony, stability, and interest of the Association and also engaged in the signature campaign against the captain.
“There was a deliberate intention to defame the captain as well as KCA. Hence, it was unanimously decided to impose a suspension on five and fine eight others for their misconduct,” added Nair reported the agency.

Five cricketers namely, Raiphi Vincent Gomez, Sandeep S. Warrier, Rohan Prem, Asif K and Mohammed Azharuddeen have been suspended from the next three One-Day matches and have also been charged a fine that amounts up to three BCCI ODI match fess.
Among those, who have been fined with amounts equivalent to three BCCI ODI matches are Abhishek Mohan, Akshay KC, Fabid Farook Ahmed, Nidheesh M D, Sanju Samson, Salman Nizar, Sijomon Joseph and V.A. Jagadeesh.
Meanwhile, the players have been asked to pay the penalty amount to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund on or before September 15 and also to provide a proof of the amount paid.
