Kerala: BJP leaders threatens writer for ‘insulting’ PM Modi
Kerala is called ‘God’s Owned Country’ and the Indian tourism board too propagates it as a USP to attract tourists. But the politicians in the state are making it dirty with their comments and threats. In a recent incident Bharatiya Janata Party leader warned a prominent Malayalam writer that he would get beaten if he used derogatory comments for Premier Narendra Modi. Adding on, he also filed a complaint against the writer.
Speaking at an public event in Pallakad recently, a well-known short-story writer and novelist, Paul Zacharia, allegedly called Modi a ‘murderer’. The event was organised in honour of the prominent author and cartoonist O V Vijayan. Zacharia also reportedly said that Vijayan had a ‘soft-Hindutva’ approach which was countered by the latter’s family on the dais.

Addressing the media, the BJP leader said, “We want to warn him before-hand that if he continues abusing the prime minister, he will get beaten…Zacharia is truly communal. He is a disaster to Malayalam literature.”
