The health condition of senior most Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader and five-time chief minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi is deteriorating with every hour, says a bulletin released by the Kauvery Hospital at 4:30 pm on Tuesday. As per the report there has been a significant decline in his health and his vital organs are failing to function properly.
The bulletin stated that DMK chief is “extremely critical” and “unstable” and the doctors are trying their best. Admitted in hospital since July 28, Karunanidhi’s blood pressure has been on a fluctuating mode and he continues to be hospitalised for his age-related ailments. Earlier, DMK’s working president MK Stalin met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami at his residence and had requested for a place on the Marina beach in Chennai for a memorial.
Huge number of supporters have congregated outside the hospital where Karunanidhi is admitted for treatment. Women supporters were seen crying and others were seen preparing for an overnight vigil at the facility in downtown Alwarpet. The doctors have given a 24-hour deadline to determine the prognosis and now are only praying for his recovery.
Citing the deteriorating condition and his crucial hours, state government has made proper arrangements to avoid any untoward incident. As per the reports, 21 people committed suicide as they were unable to bear the ‘shock’ of the illness and hospitalisation of their beloved leader. The party has requested the supporters not to take any wrong step.
