Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus yet again. He tested positive for the second time in August 2020 along with several of his family members. Last year too, Yediyurappa was admitted to Manipal hospital but was asymptomatic. He was discharged after his test report came negative.
The 78-year old Karnatak CM had taken the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine last month and his second dose was due in a few days.
BS Yediyurappa shared the news on his Twitter handle and wrote: “Upon having mild fever, today I got tested for Covid-19 and my report has come out positive. Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalised based on the advise of doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine.”
News agency ANI also tweeted and wrote: “Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa tests positive for #COVID19. He’ll be shifted to Manipal hospital from Ramaiah Memorial hospital where he was admitted earlier today: Karnataka Chief Minister’s Office (CMO)”
