Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has been winning hearts since his debut in Saawariya. The actor with his endearing smile and good looks soon went on to be the dream man of many. But not many know that the Barfi star known for his acting chops had already worked in a short film nominated for the Oscars. This was much before his debut in Bollywood.
Ranbir Kapoor was seen in Karma directed by Abhay Chopra, grandson of the legendary B.R. Chopra. The short film revolves around the theme of capital punishment in India. It has been selected to be screened at the Bandra Film Festival’s (BFF) YouTube Channel. The film, also starring Sharat Saxena and Milind Joshi, releases on Wednesday.
The 26 mins short film revolves around capital punishment in India. It is about a jailer who has to face the dilemma of performing the execution of his own son. The film was also nominated for Student Oscars.

Not only Karma but even Mara Ahmed’s feature documentary A Thin Wall revolving around Partition. Nyay Bhushan’s short Backdrop depicting a patriotic glimpse at the Wagah border ceremony. All these will go live on the YouTube channel of the digital film festival.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing for the release of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The movie also features Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Ranbir also has YRF’s Shamshera in his kitty. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. Ranbir will also be seen in Animal co-starring Anil Kapoor.
