Kargil Vijay Diwas 2019: Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan share heartfelt posts
Indians are celebrating 20th anniversary of Indian Armed Forces’ victory in Operation Vijay against Pakistan. On July 26, 1999, India successfully took command of the high outposts that had been lost to Pakistan. The Kargil war that was fought for more than 60 days, ended on this date. To celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas, many Bollywood celebrities took to social media and shared heartfelt posts.

Saluting the sacrifice and courage of Indian army, veteran actor Anupam Kher wrote,

Bollywood has made a number of movies based on the Kargil War. Now we have a biopic to honour the bravery of Kargil War hero Vikram Batra. The film will feature Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of the Indian Army who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War.
