Kareena Kapoor Khan marks 21 years in Bollywood with 'Refugee.' The actress shared a special video on Instagram.
Kareena Kapoor Khan made her Bollywood debut with ‘Refugee’ in 2000. The film also marked the debut of Abhishek Bachchan, the romantic drama film was written and directed by J. P. Dutta. Today, the actress completed 21 years in Bollywood, and to mark this occasion, she shared a special video on her Instagram handle and penned a heartfelt note.
Sharing the video, the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress captioned the video: “21 years ❤️ Grateful, happy, blessed, motivated, passionate… 21 more to go… I’m ready ❤️ Thank you to everyone for the continuous love and support ❤️❤️ #JPDutta #JPFilms @bachchan @nidhiduttaofficial.”

In the film, Kareena played the role of a Pakistani girl, Abhishek played the role of a man who helped Indian and Pakistani refugees cross the border. The music was composed by Anu Malik and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. For this film, the music received two National Film Awards: one for Best Music Direction and the other for Best Lyrics for the song “Panchi Nadiya.”
On the work front, the ‘Jab We Met’ actress will next team with Aamir Khan for the third time in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, a remake of the American comedy-drama Forrest Gump (1994) and next in Karan Johar’s film, ‘Takht’ which will feature an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt.
