In the pictures, Karan is seen posing with his wax statue at Madame Tussauds and we just cannot differentiate between the two. This makes Karan Johar the first Indian filmmaker to have his wax statue there.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh also shared pictures of the unveiling on Twitter:
Karan’s mom Hiroo Johar too posed with her son and his statue. KJo has also inaugurated a new area in the Museum that is dedicated to Indian cinema.
IANS had earlier reported, “Karan will launch an ‘ultimate film star’ experience, a 2,500 square meters new zone celebrating Indian cinema. It will utilize interactive technology like AR, Kinect, Hologram and physical special effects giving visitors the chance to dance and act their way into the hall of fame alongside noted Indian celebrities.”
On the work front, Karan Johar is gearing for the release of ‘Kalank’ that features Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt. The trailer of the period drama was unveiled yesterday and the much-awaited magnum opus will hit the screens on April 17, 2019.
