COVID-19: Karan Johar Extends Support To Government Initiatives And NGOs
Karan Johar has extended his support to government initiatives and other NGOs to fight against COVID-19
Coronavirus outbreak has caused a lot of difficulties in the nation and governments (both Centre and State) have been doing their best to stop the spread. Relief funds have been set so that the public can contribute to the government to help fight against the virus. Many Bollywood celebs have come forward to help the needy specially the daily wage workers.
Celebs like Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Kangana Ranaut, and Ayushmann Khuranna among others have donated to the PM-Cares Fund. Now, Karan Johar has also contributed to the initiatives of the government and several other NGOs.
Karan shared a video on his Instagram handle where he said, “Over the past month, India has stood united in this decision to stay home and stay safe until we overcome this pandemic. But there is so much more to do in order to win the fight against this dreaded disease. With the lockdown being extended, it’s only going to get harder on everyone, especially those workers and technicians who rely on daily waged for their livelihood. They are in a situation in which they don’t have clarity on where their next meal is coming from…and that can be scary…very scary.”
“That is why the entire Dharma family has come together to extend our support to the various causes initiated by the government and a host of NGOs to help those affected by this lockdown. There is still a lot to be done, and this is our contribution to the cause. Let us all unite and fight COVID together,” he said further.
