Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar was rushed to Vikram hospital on Millers Road in, Bengaluru. The actor was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain. Puneeth Rajkumar, son of matinee idol Rajkumar, was hospitalized at around 12pm on Friday. A team of doctors are constantly monitoring him.
As reported by sources to India Today, Puneeth has suffered from a heart attack. He is presently in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU). Preliminary reports suggest that the actor collapsed during his workout following which he was rushed to Hospital. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“Actor Puneeth Rajkumar(in pic)was admitted after suffering chest pain at 11.30 am.Trying our best to treat him.His condition is serious. Can’t say anything as of now. His condition was bad when brought to hospital, treatment on in ICU,” Dr Ranganath Nayak, Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru said while speaking to media.
The 46-year old’s relatives and friends have arrived at the hospital. The road leading to the hospital has been barricaded and security has been beefed up. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai reached Vikram Hospital to check on Puneeth Rajkumar. His fans took to social media to wish the actor speedy recovery.
Born on 17 March 1975, Puneeth is fondly known as Appu by his fans. He is the son of legendary actor Rajkumar and Parvathamma. Puneeth is not only an actor bt also a playback singer, television presenter, and producer. He has been a lead actor in 29 Kannada films; as a child, he appeared in many films. He has been dubbed by media and fans as “Powerstar”.
