Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay is in coma after bike accident: reports

Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay, popularly known for bagging a National Award for one of his performances is currently in a critical condition. According to the media reports, the actor encountered a deadly accident while his friend was riding the bike. Reportedly, he is in coma now and the doctors had to perform emergency surgery to stop the blood loss.

According to the media reports, the accident took place on June 12 and the 38-year-old actor was rushed to the Apollo Hospital located on Bannerghatta Road on June 13. He is currently in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). According to a report by TOI, the actor was with his friend when their bike skidded at L&T South City, JP Nagar 7th Phase. The bike suddenly halted after it clashed with an electric pole. His 42-year-old friend Naveen was riding the motorcycle and he has sustained spinal and leg injuries. Both were rushed to the nearest hospital by the locals. Naveen reportedly informed the police officials that due to rainfalls, the roads were wet and caused the accident.

One of the close friends of Vijay, filmmaker Mansore informed The Hindu, that the actor suffered a hemorrhage in the right part of the brain and for this, the doctors had to perform an emergency operation. His condition is currently critical.

Vijay is known to have made his acting debut with the film Rangappa Hogbitna in 2011. In the following years, he appeared in Harivu and Oggarane. He bagged the National Award for the Best Actor category for his performance in the film Naanu Avanalla…Avalu. He was seen portraying the role of transgender. Vijay was last seen in ACT 1978, which last released last year.
