Kangana Ranaut took to her social media handle to inform her fans that she has left her Manali home to travel to South India for the shoot of her upcoming trilingual biographical film titled, Thalaivi, based on Jayaram Jayalalithaa, a late Indian politician and film actress, who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for more than 14 years.
The Queen actress shares some selfies on her social media and captioned it as: “Dear friends today is a very special day, resuming work after 7 months, travelling to southern India for my most ambitious bilingual project #thalaivi, need your blessings in these testing times of a pandemic.
P.S just clicked these morning selfies hope you all like them ❤️”

The Judgementall Hai Kya actress, in an interview with Pinkvilla, confirmed that Thalaivi will not get direct to the digital release, however, she confirmed that Netflix and Amazon have bought streaming right for the film for Rs 55 crore.
Thalaivi’ is directed by AL Vijay, produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh under their respective banners Vibri Media and Karma Media And Entertainment. The film was scheduled to hit the screens in June this year, however, the production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from Thalaivi, the actress also has Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas, in which she plays an Indian Air Force pilot and Razneesh Ghai’s Dhaakad in the pipeline.
