Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer, Mental Hai Kya has been now titled as Judgementall Hai Kya. The news was confirmed by Balaji Telefilms spokesperson, who said, “Given the sensitivity attached to the issue of mental health and our intention of not offending or hurting anyone’s sentiments, the makers have decided to change the title of Mental Hai Kya to Judgementall Hai Kya. CBFC has cleared the film with U/A certification with minor changes, which the makers are happy to comply with. With the CBFC clearance, the movie is all set to release on July 26.”
On June 27, Kangana had a meeting with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and the actress had told reporters that there would be a slight change in the title. She told the reporters, “Well, there will be a small change in the title of the film because they (CBFC) find it a bit too harsh. We are more than happy to do that. But other than that, there are absolutely no cuts and they were thrilled to see the fil.”
Earlier Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had an objection regarding the title and the posters of Mental Hai Kya. They wrote a letter to the CBFC where they claimed that it violated many sections of the Mental Health Care Act, 2017.
The release date of the movie has been postponed a couple of times and now it is finally releasing on July 26. The motion posters released a few days back have increased our curiosity and we are now eagerly waiting for the trailer to release.
