Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter spat is once again trending. Diljit had recently shared some holiday pictures on social media. Reacting to the pictures Kangana slammed him for holidaying abroad after fuelling farmers protests.
Now the singer has reacted to Kangana’s criticism and tweeted. Diljit wrote that his allegiances were, are, and will always remain with the state of Punjab. He tweeted, “You live with such misconceptions about yourself, don’t think Punjabis have forgotten what you’ve done. We will have an answer for you soon.”
Kangana Ranaut soon responded and tweeted, “Time will tell, friend, who fought for the rights of the farmers and who against them… A hundred lies cannot hide one truth, and you will never be hated if you care for someone with all your heart. Do you think all of Punjab is against me? Haha, don’t dream so big your heart will break.”
Kangana and Diljit’s war of words started with him referring to a tweet posted by her on November 27. The actress had wrongly identified an old woman at the ongoing farmers’ protest as Bilkis, the face of the Shaheen Bagh protest. She had added that this woman was ‘available (for hire) in 100 rupees’. Though Kangana deleted the tweet, Diljit criticised her for spreading misinformation.
