Kangana Ranaut is all set to be back as the warrior queen in the second instalment of her hit historical film Manikarnika. The new film titled as Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda will bring to life on screen the story of life Kashmir’s legendary queen Didda.
Kangana has shared the news on her Twitter handle:
Also known as the Cleopatra of Kashmir Didda was Kashmir’s first woman ruler. Didda defeated Mehmood Ghaznavi twice in battle. Her one leg was polio-stricken but she was one of the greatest warriors. She ruled Kashmir for around five decades in the 10th and 11th centuries.
Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda will be mounted on an international scale. The movie will be jointly produced by Kangana and Kamal Jain, who bankrolled the first instalment, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi (2019). Apparently, Kangana is all set to don the director’s hat for this too. But there has been no official confirmation of the same as yet.
The movie will reportedly go on floor in January 2022.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut Apart from Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, Kangana also has AL Vijay’s Thalaivi, Razneesh Ghai’s Dhaakad and Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas in the pipeline.
