Actress Tanushree Dutta’s accusation of sexual harassment by renowned actor Nana Patekar has given voice to the unheard ones, who chose to remain silent till now. After the accusations on director Vikas Bahl and singer Kailash Kher, now the radar has shifted to comedian Kanan Gill and renowned writer Chetan Bhagat.
The #MeeToo campaign is gaining popularity among the voiceless people on the social media and in a recent case a Twitter user had accused Kanan Gill of behaving with her inappropriately while he was drunk. In her Tweet, she wrote, “With all this outing happening right now, am actually really surprised nobody has mentioned Kanan Gill. He was drunk & behaved inappropriately with me & a couple of friends at a mixer few years ago. We then kept distance, but his actions seemed to suggest a pattern of behaviour.”
Soon after the tweet, Kanan Gill apologised for his deed, but said that he couldn’t recollect the memory. The user accepted the apology as she didn’t want to drag it further. Here’s the reply.
Writer Chetan Bhagat too apologised to the lady who accused him of sexual harassment. He came out with the statement in his Facebook page. This happened after the woman shared screenshots of a conversation between her and Chetan Bhagat.
