An FIR has been lodged against Kamaal R Khan in Bandra, Mumbai for allegedly making derogatory comments against actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan on social media.
The police acted upon a complaint by Yuva Sena’s core committee member Rahul Kanal. KRK had allegedly said he took to his Twitter handle and tweeted that Rishi Kapoor must not die as liquor shops were set to soon reopen in the country. He also made a made disrespectful remarks against Irrfan Khan.
A senior police official was quoted as saying by PTI, “We have registered an FIR against Kamal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC, no arrest has been made so far and further probe was underway.”
Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, after battling Leukemia for two years. The actor underwent treatment in New York and had returned to India last year. The 67-year-old actor was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.
Whereas, Irrfan Khan took his last breathe on April 29, 2020, at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital as he was suffering from Neuroendocrine Tumour and was surrounded by his wife Sutapa and sons, Babil and Ayaan during the time of passing.
