Female journalist accuses singer Kailash Kher of sexual harassment
Popular singer Kailash Kher, who shot to fame with his famous song, “Allah Ke Bandey” is the latest in line to be accused of sexual harassment.
The victim, a photojournalist named Natasha Hemranjani recalls her ordeal in a Twitter post where she alleges that in 2006, she had gone to the singer’s house for clicking pictures for an interview where she was also accompanied by a female colleague.
She wrote, “I was sent with my colleague, a woman journalist, to take pictures of Kailash Kher at his home for an interview. During the interview, this creep sat between us as close to us as he could. He also kept putting his hands on our thighs (on the skin above our skirts).”

Hemranjani also added that she was unable to report this incident as the newspaper wouldn’t publish it.

We were appalled & left as soon as possible. I discussed with my colleague the idea of writing the interview from the point of view of unwelcome sexual molestation but she said the paper would never publish it because it would be libel (even if we were both witnesses)— Natasha Hemrajani (@radiantbear) October 6, 2018
This revelation comes after the controversy that erupted between Bollywood actress Tanusree Dutta who accused veteran actors of misbehaving with her on the sets of a film in 2008. These revelations of sexual harassment by women is a part of the #Metoo campaign.
Recently, renowned author and columnist Chetan Bhagat too was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a lady-a claim which he has accepted and has also apologized for his actions.
