Vikram-Akshara Haasan starrer Kadaram Kondan Banned in Malaysia
Vijay's latest film Kadaram Kondan has been banned in Malaysia
One of the much-awaited Tamil films, Kadaram Kondan, has finally hit the theatres in India and different parts of the world except, Malaysia. Notably, in Malaysia where Kadaram Kondan was exclusively shot has been banned. Directed by Rajesh Selva and Produced by Kamal Haasan, the film features Vikram and Akshara Haasan in lead roles.
Kadaram Kondan is an official adaptation of 2010 French film Point Blank. The film has received rave reviews from both critics and audience alike. The film was unfortunately got leaked by Tamilrockers and other torrent websites on its release day.
Taking to social media, Lotus Five Star AV, the film’s distributor based in Malaysia has informed fans that Vijay’s Kadaram Kondan will not be released in Malaysia as the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia has banned the film.
In the film, Malaysian police are shown in a bad light and that could be the reason behind the ban. Yes, in the film, a few Malaysian police officers are shown corrupt who work for criminals.
Produced by Kamal Haasan’s banner Raaj Kamal Films, Kadaram Kondan is an action entertainer and Vikram’s first release this year. Prior to this film, Rajesh has worked in Thoongaa Vanam starring Kamal Haasan and Trisha which was also a remake of a French film titled Nuit Blanche.
Rajesh is currently waiting for his son Dhruv Vikram’s debut film Adithya Varma, Vikram also has several movies lined up which will hit the theatres soon.
