Kaafir trailer: Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina starrer looks intense and intriguing

The makers of Kaafir have dropped its trailer online today. This ZEE5’s Original web series stars Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina in lead. The web show will premiere on June 15 on ZEE5. The story revolves round the story of an alleged militant who is in prison for many years with her daughter. Mohit Raina who plays journalist/lawyer tries to give justice to the alleged militant. In the trailer we see Dia’s character going through a lot of tortures inside the prison.

It looks intense and gripping and is written by Raazi fame writer, Bhavani Iyer. Bankrolled by Siddharth and Sapna Malhotra and directed by Sonam Nair, Kaafir is inspired by a real-life story.

With Kaafir Dia is making her digital debut. Earlier in an interview with Indian Express, the actress said, “Without revealing too much, I can tell you that it is based on true events. A story like this needs to be told. It is the most compelling, heart-rendering and beautiful story I have ever heard. I feel extremely lucky to play Kainaaz. The character and the places that it goes, I haven’t done that before.”
