Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor starrer Jug Jugg Jeeyo is one of the most anticipated films from Bollywood. The film is being helmed by Raj Mehta and apparently, the production team has completed around 60 per cent of shootings. Earlier production work had to be halted after Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and reportedly the director also tested positive for COVID-19. According to the latest reports, Raj reveals that the second schedule has been called off considering the rapidly surging Coronavirus cases.
According to the latest report by Mid-Day, director Raj Mehta revealed that the second schedule for Jug Jugg Jeeyo was scheduled in April, but now they won’t shoot. He informed the outlet,“Almost 60 per cent of the film is pending. We were supposed to shoot this month, but are faced with a challenge again. We had shot the first schedule right after the first wave of the pandemic. It was difficult, and we did have cases on the set. But at the end of the day, you have to take safety precautions and trust the team.”
The earlier scheduled shoots were done in Chandigarh, the city which was worst hit by pandemic a few months ago. Talking about the COVID-19 situations, the new pandemic wave has recorded the highest single-day spike of 3.40 lakh fresh cases, which makes it the highest spike ever the pandemic hit India. The nation stands at the second position after the US to have been worst hit by the Coronavirus wave.
