The Tamil remake of SS Rajamouli directorial Yamadonga, starring Jr NTR will be hitting the silver screen on January 3, 2019. Earlier, there were reports stating that Yamadonga will be released on November 29 but it got delayed for some reason.
Notably, Yamadonga is an Indian Telugu fantasy film released in 2007. Directed by S.S Rajamouli and produced by Urmila Ganagaraju and P. Chiranjeevi, the film featured Jr. NTR, Mamta Mohandas, Priyamani and Mohan Babu, in the lead roles.
The film received mixed reactions and did an outstanding business at the box India. Notably, Yamadonga was Jr NTR’s third collaboration with S.S Rajamouli after Student No. 1 and Simhadri. The film was also later dubbed into Hindi as Lok Parlok in the year 2008.
The story of the film revolves around an orphan boy, who is a thief. Mahi (Priyamani), young girl, falls in love with him. Raja manipulates her by gaining her sympathy. She gives him a necklace, which he throws away because it is worthless; however, it always comes back to him. After 10 long years, Mahi’s family treats her like a slave while they enjoy the money that her grandfather left behind. Mahi waits for her “prince” to come rescue her. Raja is still a conman, but when he enters into the debt of Dhanalakshmi (Mamta Mohandas), a pretty not-so-innocent lender, he flees.
Currently, both SS Rajamouli and Jr NTR are busy working on their upcoming project titled RRR. The period drama also stars Ram Charan and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. The makers of RRR have not yet released the first look of the cast.
There is a strong buzz that the makers of the film titled RRR will be releasing the first look of Jr NTR and Ram Charan soon. The fans and film audience are eagerly waiting to see the latest films of Jr NTR and Ram Charan on the silver screen.
