Joker Malware Back On Google Play Store; Remove These Infected Apps

Hidden in Google Play Store apps, the most dangerous Joker malware that infects Android devices is back. The news was shared by Belgian authorities. According to them, the Joker virus has been detected in eight Play Store applications which now Google has removed.

“This malicious program has been detected in eight Play Store applications that Google has suppressed,” said the Belgian authorities in a statement published this Friday on their website.

• Blue Scanner

• Mint Leaf Message-Your Private Message
• Unique Keyboard – Fancy Fonts & Free Emoticons
• Tangram App Lock
• Desire Translate
• Meticulous Scanner

The Joker malware gained prominence in 2017 for robbing its victims by hiding in different applications. Since then Google Play Store defence systems have removed around 1,700 apps with the ‘Joker’ malware.

The Joker malware is capable of infecting users via the Google Play Store. It is usually hidden inside innocent-looking apps. The malware can easily drain your bank account of all its money. In September 2020, the ‘Joker’ virus was found in 24 Android applications. The September Joker attack affected over 30 countries including the United States, Spain, and Brazil.
