Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has finally reacted to a video showcasing a bunch of goons brutally attacking on JNU students. Uddhav Thackeray has not only condemned the brutal attack on JNU students but also said that it reminds him of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
The Shiv Sena leader described the violent assault by scores of goons armed with irons rods as an act of “cowardice”. Urging Delhi police to act as soon as possible, Uddhav Thackeray said that failure to do act swiftly and decisively would lead to questions being asked of a law and order force that is already under criticism for its handling of last month’s protest by Jamia Millia students.
“Youth are scared and angry. Our youth are not cowards. Don’t ignite a bomb by instigating the youth. If the police don’t act, then there will be questions (about) the police,” Thackeray said NDTV.
The heartwarming video shows dozens of masked people armed with weapons barged into JNU campus and went on a rampage for three hours, unstopped by either the cops or university administration.
According to reports, in the violent attack, at least 34 people including students and staff members were injured in yesterday’s attack in JNU. The JNU student have alleged the role of ABVP.
Earlier today, Delhi Police claimed to have started action on the basis of screenshots and CCTV footage that have gone viral on the internet. The police also said that they have already filed FIR.
