On Tuesday afternoon, a youth inside the campus of a government-run school in Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharsawan district brutally beheaded a 50-year-old woman school teacher.
Before getting arrested, the murderer ran through the village streets with the severed head while threatening panicked bystanders.
The woman is identified as Sukru Hessa, was overseeing a physical training session of students when the accused Hari Hembram — who is in his twenties bulldozed into the campus of Khaparsai Middle School while screaming at her. Witnesses said that he pushed her on the ground, dragged her to a distance and attacked her with a dagger.

The woman died on the spot, four hours before being held, Hembram fled with the chopped head and the murder weapon. He then ran around the village with the severed head, wielding the dagger at passersby.
Seraikela-Kharsawan SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said “We are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder. The accused seemed to be deranged.”
Police said, Hessa and Hembram were both residents of Khapsarai village.
