Jennifer Winget on not celebrating her birthday this year: It seems so rivial, small, and unimportant

\One of the most-seen actresses on television, Jennifer Winget turns a year old today. She has been winning hearts ever since she stepped into the telly world, be it her role of as Sneha Bajaj in ‘Kasauti Zindagii Kay’, a doctor Riddhima Gupta in ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ or her role of an obsessive lover in ‘Beyhadh,’ she has always surprised the audience with her performance.

As the actor celebrates her quarantine birthday today due to the coronavirus lockdown, she told that this year she has no plans of celebrating it as she finds it ‘rivial, small, and unimportant’. Talking about the same, she told Pinkvilla, “And I don’t see how that makes me a pessimist. This lockdown has brought in nothing I can call the usual…it is a new normal across after all… so I will say there have been better days and days that are sort of low on energy and flat. The flatter days have taught me to be more kind to myself and the better ones have really allowed me to indulge. But trust me, It’s equalized everyone to one level and I am hanging in there just like everyone else!”

Lastly, she spoke on her plea she made 2 years back for her fans, “There was a plea I made 2 years ago on my birthday to my fans that instead of sending me gifts I would much rather prefer them doing something for someone more in need; someone who would truly deserve it more than me. If tiny donation, the simplest kind gesture could end up being the blessing they were waiting on, why not? And it moves me to see my fans remember and respect this request I had made, every year.”

On the work front, Jennifer’s performance as Maya in Beyhadh 2 was appreciated a lot from the audience, but recently the show was axed due to the coronavirus outbreak
