Jeff Bezos, who is the founder of Amazon to quit his position of being the CEO. On Monday i.e July 5, Bezos will be officially stepping down from his position of company’s chief executive officer. He paved his way to become world’s richest man created successful business assets through Amazon. At the age of 57, Jeff hands over the CEO duties of Amazon to Andy Jassy.
Jeff Bezos now turns his focus to a private space exploration firm and on philanthropy activities. He apparently has interesting plans for a new level of his career. He had initially built an online bookstore back in the 1990s, which he named Amazon. Gradually it became successful and become a publicly traded company in the world, with a market capitalization of $1.7 trillion. Earlier this year, he was named the world’s richest man by Forbes magazine with assets worth some $189 billion.
Jeff Bezos will continue to keep his 10.3 percent stake in the company, while also being an active executive chairman of Amazon’s board.
