Jayeshbhai Jordaar: Ranveer Singh shares first look of his Gujarati avatar
Actor Ranveer Singh after giving a smashing performance in ‘Gully Boy’ will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83’. He also has ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ that is being helmed by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar. The movie has the actor taking on the role of a Gujarati man. The actor’s first look from Jayeshbhai Jordaar was unveiled today and Ranveer has once again proved that he is master at transforming himself.

In the first look poster, we can see a lean Ranveer Singh dressed like an innocent man from Gujarat. Behind him, we can see women with a long veil covering their face. According to the film’s team, Ranveer’s character Jayeshbhai is sensitive and compassionate and believes in equal rights between men and women in a society that is deeply rooted in patriarchal ideals and practices. He is out to protect women and work towards their empowerment.
According to Ranveer Singh, Jayeshbhai is an unlikely hero, an ordinary man, who ends up doing something extraordinary when he’s hurled into a threatening situation.
The movie is bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma. Meanwhile, Ranveer is working on Kabir Khan’s sports drama 83 which will hit theaters on April 10, 2020.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh has Kabir Khan’s 83 where he is depicting the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone is playing the role of his on-screen wife.
Ranveer also has Karan Johar’s Takht in his kitty, co-starring Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and others.
