The makers of Gunjan Saxena — The Kargil Girl has finally dropped the first look of Janhvi Kapoor from the film. The film is said to be a biopic of India’s first female IAF officer Gunjan Saxena, whose role is being portrayed by Janhvi Kapoor.
Hours after announcing the time of the first look of The Kargil Girl, Karan Johar’s production Dharma Production has unveiled Janhvi Kapoor’s look and two posters of the film. The first look also has the tagline which reads, ‘Ladkiyan Pilot Nahi Banti’.
Sharing Janhvi’s first look from the film, Karan Johar took to Instagram and wrote, “She was told ki ladkiyan pilot nahin banti…but she stood her ground and wanted to fly! Gunjan Saxena – #TheKargilGirl, releasing on 13th March 2020.”

In the first look, Janhvi Kapoor, who aspires to be a pilot is seen wearing a multi-coloured sweater and trying to fly a paper plane.
Sharing the official posters on social media, the production house wrote yesterday, “We are proud to be telling the true story of Flight Lt. Gunjan Saxena, India’s first Air Force woman officer who went to war – on the big screen. Stay tuned, first look coming up tomorrow morning!”
In another poster of the film, the Dhadak actress is being applauded by her colleagues as she is wearing a blue uniform.
In the third poster, Janhvi is seen wearing her uniform and hugging her on-screen dad Pankaj Tripathi.
Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Dharma Productions in association with Zee Studios, Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl also features Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar and Manav Vij in pivotal roles.
The movie is scheduled to release on March 13, 2020.
