Ever since Avatar released and became a blockbuster hit, excited fans of the science fiction film have been waiting for the sequel to release patiently. The sequel of Avatar was expected to release back in the year of 2014. Apparently, the official twitter handle of the film Avatar had shared an update stating the fact that the team had wrapped up this year’s film shoot.
It was then that an Avatar fan asked if they would get to see the trailer of the sequel anytime soon. To which the official twitter handle replied, “Unfortunately not any time soon (sorry!), BUT we’ll have plenty of stuff to hold you over ’til then, like a mobile game in 2020!” Have a look at the tweet below.
Check out the official twitter account tweet of Avatar. The tweet read, “That’s a wrap, Na’vi Nation! It’s our last day of live-action filming in 2019, and we’re celebrating with a sneak peek. Check out this photo of the aft well deck section of the Sea Dragon, a massive mothership that carries an array of other sea-going craft in the sequels.”
It was this tweet to which the fan had asked for the trailer update. For the unversed, Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver will be reprising their roles in the sequel of the Avatar. The stars who have joined the new cast are Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement and Edie Falco. Even the sequel of the movie is co-written, produced and directed by James Cameron.
