Jaish-e-Mohammad claims responsibility of IED blast in South Kashmir
Terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility of the IED blast in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district which left seven army men injured.
The spokesperson of the group said that they injured seven soldiers besides killing three and damaging a military vehicle. An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was triggered by terrorists in the Lassipora area of Pulwama district. Planted under a bridge on the Trichal-Lassipora Road, the bomb was triggered when an armed vehicle comprising of 55 Rashtriya Rifles was on it.

The army fought back with firing, said a police official.
“The IED explosion was followed by firing by the militants. Troops inside the Casper vehicle retaliated and a brief firing exchange took place,” IANS quoted police as saying.
Three out of the seven soldiers–who had suffered serious injuries were taken to a military hospital in Srinagar. The terrorists somehow escaped despite the area being surrounded by the police.
There have been allegations on the side of the villagers who have stated that they were beaten up by army men after the attack as reports suggest that eleven people with injuries reached the Pulwama district hospital.
