Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned again summoned by the Enforcement Directorate(ED). It is regarding a money laundering case related to conman Sukesh Chandrasekar. The actress has been asked to appear on September 25 before the ED. Earlier Jacqueline was questioned as a witness in a case related to Sukesh Chandrasekar for 6 hours in New Delhi. This is the second time she has been called for questioning regarding the same.
As reported by sources to News18, The first round of questioning with Jacqueline was conducted last month by the ED in New Delhi. ED is investigating details to know if the actress was a beneficiary of the laundered money. Reportedly the actress has been called again as her questioning was not completed the first time.
Sources added, Jacqueline reportedly became a victim of the conman’s racket. Conman Sukesh used to reportedly spoof call Jacqueline Fernandez from Tihar Jail. He used to pretend to be a big personality while spoof calling. When Jacqueline believed the conman, he reportedly started sending her expensive flowers and chocolates as gifts.
Sources added, apart from Jacqueline, actress Nora Fatehi may also be called in for questioning in the matter. Earlier, Dino Morea, Yami Gautam, Rana Daggubati were questioned by ED in cases pertaining to financial frauds.
On the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez was recently seen in Bhoot Police. The film premiered on Disney+Hotstar on Ganesh Chaturthi. It also features Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
