Jaaved Jaaferi Addresses Media Post Father Jagdeep’s Final Rites
Post Jagdeep's funeral, Javed Jaaferi addressed the media persons and thanked them all for attending his father’s funeral.
Veteran actor-comedian Jagdeep passed away on June 8, 2020. The actor who was 81 years old is survived by sons Jaaved, Naved, grandson Meezaan, and other family members. The veteran actor was laid to at a cemetery in south Mumbai’s Byculla neighborhood at around 2.30 pm.
Post the funeral, Javed Jaaferi addressed the media people and thanked them all for attending his father’s funeral. Jagdeep’s actor-son Jaaved said, “Sorry aap log ko late hua…aap log ne chai paani piya? Thank You all for coming. And we haven’t been able to respond to all the messages the people have sent, so I would like to tell everyone that thank you very much for your love and prayers.”

Javed Jaaferi further added, “Due to the situation, we weren’t able to respond to everyone’s messages personally. My father has given 70 years to this industry and we can see all the love that is being showered on him. For all the contribution of my father, I would just request you all to offer a small prayer for the departed soul, and for that, we all will be very grateful. Thank you.”
Jagdeep appeared in around 400 films and the late actor is best known for his iconic role as Soorma Bhopali in ‘Sholay.’ He was also a part of Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1994 film ‘Andaaz Apna Apna.’
