Fortune’s 40 Under 40 — an annual list of influential individuals under the age of 40 is out. Reliance Jio Board Directors Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani, Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla, and Byju Raveendran, co-founder of India’s leading education technology company Byju’s are named by Fortune in its annual list of influential people under the age of 40.
Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list celebrates 40 influential people under the age of 40 from around the world. It has five categories: finance, technology, healthcare, government and politics, and media and entertainment. The list also includes Dhaval Shah and Dharmil Seth.
The Ambani twins are listed in the technology category. Fortune said they helped seal the company’s recent megadeal with Facebook at $5.7 billion for a 9.99% stake, also follow-on investments from tech titans like Google, Qualcomm, and Intel.
CEO of the family-owned pharma company Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla is also listed in the Healthcare category. The company is known for making vaccines and is at present in news for the Covid-19 vaccine.
Co-founder and CEO of educational app Byju’s, Byju Reevdhran has also made it in the Technology category. Byju has shown the world that it really is possible to build a massively successful online education company.
Dhaval Shah and Dharmil Seth is a doctor and engineering duo who started their venture Pharmeasy in 2015. They have landed in the health care category. The pharmaceutical delivery company has played an important role during the COVID-19 pandemic by delivering both medications and diagnostic services.
