Irrfan Khan’s son Babil pens a heartfelt note, says, ‘deeply grateful for all the condolences’
Irrfan Khan's son Babil took to his Instagram story and shared an overwhelmed message to thank everyone for the condolences.
April 2020 has been exceptionally bad for the Indian cinema as two iconic superstars Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor passed away. Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29 at Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital as he was suffering from Neuroendocrine Tumour. The actor was surrounded by his wife Sutapa and sons, Babil and Ayaan at the time of his passing. Now, the ‘Piku’ actor’s eldest son Babil Khan shared a heartfelt message to acknowledge everyone for the condolences.
Sharing the post on his Instagram story, Babil wrote, “I’m deeply grateful for all the condolences you beautiful friends are pouring in for me. Although I hope you understand that right now I’m not being able to reply because my vocabulary is dizzy. I will get back to each one of you but just not right now. Thank you so much. I love you.”

The 53-year old- actor was cremated at the Versova Kabrastan in the presence of family and close friends. His last rites were performed by son Babil and Ayan. Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, who worked with Irrfan in ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, carried the actor’s mortal remains to the cemetery. Sutapa, Vishal Bhardwaj, Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, and Mika Singh were a few people spotted at the funeral.
