Irfan Pathan Tests Positive For Coronavirus; Fourth Player From India Legends Squad
Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan on Monday tested positive for the coronavirus. Though he does not have any symptoms Irfan has isolated himself at home. Pathan has become the fourth player from the India Legends Squad after Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan and S Badrinath to test positive for the virus.
Irfan took to his social media handle and tweeted, “I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantined at home. I would request those who came in contact with me in the recent past to please get themselves tested. Urging all to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Wishing you all good health,” he further added.

Earlier Sachin Tendulkar had shared that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Master Blaster added that all his other family members at home returned a negative result.
Later on Saturday, Irfan’s elder brother Yusuf informed his followers that he has tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms and has quarantined himself at home. So did S Badrinath. Irfan was part of the Indian team alongside Tendulkar, Yusuf, and Badrinath. The tournament took place in the Indian city of Raipur from March 7 to 21.
Irfan had announced his retirement from cricket in January 2020. He had featured in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is. He also runs a cricket academy in Vadodara, co-founded with Yusuf.
According to Johns Hopkins University, India is third on the list of countries with the most Covid-19 infections and fourth on the list of most deaths.
