Its been a long time we have been waiting for the final dates for IPL 2020. The Indian Premier League Governing Council on Sunday i.e Sept 6 finally made the announcement of the schedule for the Twenty20 cricket tournament matches. It has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates amidst the pandemic Coronavirus situations.
The IPL 2020 matches will kickstart from September 19 with Mumbai Indians (MI) taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi in the season opener. The final would be played on November 10. After the tournament opener on Saturday, Dubai will host its first game on Sunday when Delhi Capitals take on Kings XI Punjab followed by the third match on Monday between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. There will be 10 double-headers with the first match starting at 3:30 PM IST. All evening matches will start at 7:30 PM as per Indian standard timings. In all, 24 matches will be held in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi, and 12 in Sharjah.
