Friendship Day marks the significance of friends in our lives and the way they make it better. International Friendship Day is celebrated annually on July 30. However, countries like India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, and the United States mark Friendship Day on the first Sunday of August every year.
The International Day of Friendship was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2011.
