India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 68 today. PM Modi has decided to celebrate his 68th Birthday in his constituency, Varanasi, along with school children. He was born in a poor family and used to sell tea but is now a beloved leader.

When Narendra Modi was young, he wanted to join the Army. He wanted to pursue his education from a Sainik School, located nearby Jamnagar, but due to some financial issue, he could not.

However, being the patriot, during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, PM Modi served the soldiers in transit at the Railway stations. He willingly helped the flood-affected people in Gujarat in 1967 too.

When he was 17, he left his home and went to Ramakrishna Ashram of Belur in West Bengal. After reaching the Himalayas, he stayed with yogic Sadhus for several months and studied Hindutva.

Did you know, PM Modi has completed three months course in the US on Public Relation and Image Management? Now, he is known as one of the most famous Politicians in the world. 

He is the only Indian Prime Minister who was born after Independence. He was born on 17 September 1950.
The jet-setter PM has been making India proud and setting a good example for Indians who travel abroad.
