Inshallah: Hrithik Roshan-Alia Bhatt to be starred in Sanjay Leela Bhasali directorial
Earlier there were reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was making Inshallah with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. However, it went on to be shelved. According to the latest reports, the filmmaker decides to revive the project featuring Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt
Sanjay Leela Bhansali made the announcement of making Inshallah with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in 2019. Few months after the announcement, the movie went on to be shelved. While the makers officially didn’t reveal anything about Salman’s exit from the project, the source claimed it was due to the creative difference between the star and the filmmaker. Alia Bhatt however remained a part of the project. According to the latest reports, the makers plan to revive the project and the actress will be now featured opposite Hrithik Roshan.
According to a report by News18, the sources close to the development informs, “Bhansali is currently working on Heera Mandi, a web series which has been in the making for some time now. Directed by Vibhu Puri, it is going to go on floors soon. On the other hand, the filmmaker is also working on Inshallah since he has finished Gangubai Kathiawadi and can focus on a new project. Since it is a story of mature romance between a young girl and a much older guy, he feels Roshan and Bhatt would make a good pair. The actor has had several meetings with the filmmaker. He has liked the script but has requested for certain modifications. Bhansali is also reworking on the script.”
The report also further states that the makers might plan to take this film on floors in the second half of 2022. Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently wrapped up shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi and the project is currently on the post-production stage. On the other side, Hrithik Roshan has been busy with two of his projects- Vikram Vedha’s Hindi remake and Fighter, he has also been working on Krrish franchise. Once the actor and filmmaker wrap up their current projects, they would be free to kick start Inshallah. As of now there is no official announcement about the same.
