India A register a comprehensive victory over England Lions in the final of the tri series at Kennington Oval by Five wickets. Team India chased down a target of 265 runs in 48.2 overs. It was a collective performance with Rishabh Pant emerging as the top scorer with an unbeaten 64 runs to see India home. Sam Hain scored 108 runs for the hosts getting England to a respectable total.
England were well placed on 185 for two after the 34th over. The pace attack of Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar and Khaleel Ahmed brought India back in the game. They restricted the hosts to a total that was well below par. At one point of time the Lions seemed as if they will easily cross the 300 run mark. But the versatile bowling line up of India showed their mettle in time when it mattered the most.
