The pandemic Coronavirus has brought everything to the standstill and it has affected almost all corners of the globe. With the increasing number of infected people, India has now overtaken Brazil from its second position in the list of worst-hit nations by unfortunate COVID-19 outspread. The nation has apparently surpassed four million cases in the first week of September.
According to the reports, out of the total 40,23,179 cases, 8,46,395 are the active while a total of 31,07,223 have recovered from the virus so far. A total of 1,089 deaths yesterday took the toll to 69,561. Earlier on Saturday, India had recorded the highest spike of 86,432 cases.

Maharashtra apparently continues to be in the list of worst-hit by COVID-19 infections with a total of 8,63,069 cases and 25,969 deaths. Following the states with high number of cases are Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, and Bihar. The overall number of Global Coronavirus cases has surpassed the 26.2 million mark, the deaths on the other side have increased to over 867,000. The total number of cases reach to 26,208,690.
