The pandemic Coronavirus outspread is still spreading all across the globe, however, the recovery rates also recorded a spike in numbers. During the festivities of Diwali, India recorded new COVID-19 infection cases of approx. 41,100 patients while the death case recorded 447.
In the span of 24hrs, 41,156 new cases have been recorded which takes the total count to 88 mark, according to the Union Health Ministry. The coronavirus death toll climbed up to 1,29,635. The ministry in its latest statement on Saturday stated that the share of active cases in the total positive cases has further decreased to 5.48 per cent in last week.
As per the reports, only six Indian states and UTs now have more than 20,000 active cases. “New cases continue their downward slope indicating adoption of COVID Appropriate Behaviour among the population, and effective containment measures by the State/UT governments following guidelines of the Union Government. The daily new cases on an average show a declining trend over the last five weeks,” as per the statement by the ministry.
