India records this years highest single-day rise with 68,000 COVID-19 cases

Over last few weeks India has been recording rapid surge in Coronavirus cases. With more than 68,000 fresh COVID-19 cases the nation has recorded its highest single-day rise in this year. According to COVID-19 data by Health Ministry, the total tally reached to 1,20,39,644.
States which have highly contributed in the new wave of Coronavirus in India include Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and few others. MAHA CM Uddhav Thackeray recently also asked the health department in the state to create a lockdown like plan because many people are not following the guidelines. There are over 5,21,808 active coronavirus cases in the entire country and approximately 1,13,55,993 people have recovered.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Chhattisgarh reported high number of COVID daily new cases. 84.5% of new cases are reported from these states. India begun the massive Coronavirus vaccination drive in January this year. So far the nation has also exported vaccines to many countries. The vaccination mission was kickstarted as per categories, frontline workers were the first one to get the doses.
