Bad news for all the cricket fans out there. India vs New Zealand World Cup match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham was halted due to heavy rainfall but as per the latest reports, the match has now been abandoned and both teams have got one point each. Inspection by the umpires with the ground staff started at 3 pm local time. BCCI tweeted, “The match has been called off. 1 point each for both teams ?️?️Thank you to all the fans who came out in numbers to support #TeamIndia

The next match of India is with Pakistan on June 16 i.e Sunday and we really wish the weather to be fair.
This was India’s first match against the Black Caps in the World Cup campaign. Prior to India vs New Zealand match, earlier three World Cup matches have been canceled due to rain. This is indeed a record in the history of the 50-over match. ICC said that they do not have any reserves days this year in the World Cup but earlier there used to be.
